Artist's Comments

If you look at lampwork art, you'll find TONS on the 'female form'. (They call them "goddesses") --so it's sort of like a rite of passage to see what you can do in a bit of glass and have it come out halfway decent. Besides, I know this form better than say... a cat... or a turtle. :)

It's pretty neat what you can do with a couple of dots and lines. She's etched for a soft glow.

And look! Wings!
and a Cubic Zirconia for the belly button.
She's 2 cm, from bottom to wingtip.
About the size of a large bumblebee. :)

i'm so totally doing them in different colours.

Daily DeviationPink Precious by =ellyloo. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM) and I think this is wonderfully symbolic, so lusciously shaped and beautifully ethereal in its coloration. Such tremendously fine lampwork glass art and it's only 2cm (13/16") long! The glass is etched to give it a soft glow and has a white cubic zirconia. (Suggested by ^savagebinn and Featured by ^Kitten-of-Woe)

And a LARGE round of applause for those wings and the superb photo! I bet you could put a head on one of those mamas and call it an angel...although...I would recommend a less...articulate.. figure. hehehe
